Ramblings (Review);

I knew from the minute I looked at this book that it was going to be amazing but, only if I shut down the critic in me, so that's what I did I locked it up and let my inner 10 year old girl out and thus while I was reading the book I was clapping, jumping up and down and squealing with delight.
There is no rocket science in it nothing that could go wrong it is just a pretty Disney like tale and thus it should be read considering that not criticised at every single line like it has been by many many people. This is a beautiful tale filled with fun, heart break and romance if you are looking for something light to read or just a book to cheer you up this is it.
“If you don’t want me to be in love with you, you’re going to have to stop looking so lovely. First thing tomorrow I’m having your maids sew some potato sacks together for you.”
But still it isn't all flowers, dresses and rainbows there is a certain depth to it that makes it intriguing and a inciting. It is without a doubt a page turner. Altough there are more than a few bloopers and mistakes and plot holes it is an engaging and unique story.The protagonist America Singer isn't like Cinderella, she doesn't dream of castles, and princes and balls all she cares for is her family their survival and being with his boyfriend Aspen but unfortunately destiny takes her to the halls of a palace and gives her a chance to become a queen, and away from all she loves and cares for.
“What do you think my chances might be of finding a soul mate in the group of you? I'll be lucky if I can just find someone who'll be able to stand me for the rest of our lives. What if I've already sent her home because I was relying on some sort of spark I didn't feel? What if she's waiting to leave me at the first sign of adversity? What if I don't find anyone at all? What do I do then, America?”

  1. I felt the same way as you about this one - it's very entertaining and fun even if I thought it was a bit silly sometimes. :) Glad you enjoyed it!

  2. I think it's very important for a book to be fun to read it has many flaws but it's intresting, gripping. I can name several books which have minimum to no flaws but are still not as fun as this.
