Top Ten Books read in 2013

Ok I know it's more than a bit too late to do this post but I really really want to do this because what better way is there to talk about my most loved books. The reason I couldn't do this earlier was because my blog officially started on 15th Jan 2014 and at that time I was to busy with my blog settings and theme and stuff to think about this. So without much further to blab here is the list of my 10 favourite books read in 2013:

#1: Champion (Legend#3) by Marie Lu.

This was the best one in the legend series full of action, adventure, suspense, heart break and love. It was perfect and so very beautiful of all the trilogies that I have read this one is the best and Marie Lu's Champion is the perfect trilogy closer. None of the trilogies that I have read have such a perfect and complete ending as Legend.
“I’ve been searching a long time for something I think I lost.
I felt like I found something when I saw you back there.”

#2: Rupert of Hentzau (The Ruritanian Trilogy #3) by Anthony Hope.

Yes a classic is on this list and one that isn't much read, this novel had everything from love, sacrifice, chivalry, hate ,betrayal. It has a tear jerking but beautiful ending. I loved this book with all my heart and soul, cheesy yes I know. But what I don't know is that why isn't this book as popular as the other notable classics.

#3: Steel Heart (Reckoners#1) by Brandon Sanderson.

Steel Heart is an amazing post apocalyptic novel where due to unknown reasons various people gain super powers, this is not something new but the way the book was written was totally gripping and original. A must read for every one full of adventure, suspense, thrill and action one of my absolute favs can't wait for the next one.
“Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.”

#4: Casino Infernale (Secret Histories #7) by Simon R. Green.

Simon R. Green's book's aren't for everyone but if you are a fan of Urban Fantasy and Sci-Fi you are going to love this action packed fast paced book.
I loved this one because it was very different to the other books in the stories due to excessive plot development.
My name is Drood, Eddie Drood, aka Shaman Bond. For generations my family has protected you ordinary mortals against things that lurk in the darkness, just out of sight, but not at all out of mind.- Simon R. GreenSecret Histories
My Rating:

#5: Losing Lila (Lila #2) by Sarah Alderson.

This book is so swoon worthy as the first one Hunting Lila was amazing but this, this was mind blowing. The only bad thing about this series is that the author herself isn't sure wheather Losing Lila is the last book of the series or not. I am hoping it isn't.
“Look on the bright side: if you cause an inferno, you can always put it out with a tidal wave.”

My Rating:

#6: The Bitter Kingdom (Fire and Thorns #3) by Rae Carson.

Even tough the ending of this book felt a little incomplete it is one of my most favourite books. Completly orignal with superb world building this book is a must read.
“I think sometimes when we find love we pretend it away, or ignore it, or tell ourselves we’re imagining it. Because it is the most painful kind of hope there is.”
My Rating:

#7: Graceling (Graceling Realm #1) by Kristin Cashore.

This book has every thing! Amazing writing, intriguing plot, swoon worthy hero, orignal story and a kick ass heroine, nuff said.
“I'm not going to wear a red dress," she said.
"It would look stunning, My Lady," she called.
She spoke to the bubbles gathered on the surface of the water. "If there's anyone I wish to stun at dinner, I'll hit him in the face.”

#8: Earth Star (Earth Girl #2) by Janet Edwards.

Not everyone would like this book but if you are like me a nerdy sci-fi loving bookworm go and get your copy right now and prepare for a hell of a ride. Amazing character development and world building.
My Rating:

#9: The Naturals (The Naturals #1) by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

Full of suspense and intrigue loved this book <3

#10: The Falconer (The Falconer #1) by Elizabeth May.

Kick ass heroine + the most crippling cliff hanger ever = insta love
“In what way could keeping me in ignorance be construed as protection?’ I straighten a piece of wire to add to the fire-starter. ‘God spare me from such protection, especially when it involves safeguarding my poor feminine sensibilities from life-saving information.”
