Top Ten Tuesday #4: Top Ten things on my bookish bucket list

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted over at The Broke and the Bookish.

This week's prompt:
Top Ten things on my bookish bucket list
*ok so I had never heard of a bucket list before so I thought it was a yearly thing but now I found out that it's a list of life long goals to accomplish so I am just tweaked this post a bit*
1. Read 3000 books atleast.
2. Build a huge study room filled wall to wall with books I love and build a tiny book nook in it.
3. Build a book nook on the roof with glass casing so I can read under the stars.
4. Attend comic con and a few other cons.
5. Intract with the authors. I have never interacted with an author except for the one time I sent a fan girl message to Suzzane Selfors, and she replied I was all giddy inside. I would love to meet Veronica Roth, Jim Butcher, Simon R. Green, Rae arson and several others.
6. Win a giveaway or ARC.
7. Become a millionaire so I can buy a million books and book stuff with my money.
8. Make my blog worth reading and write and publish a book worth reading.
9. Make some awesome bookaholic friends online . (yes I am talking to you fellow bookworm)
10. Make people I know, who aren't bookworms into one. ( I succeed in making my cousin into one last year)

So what are your top ten things on your bookish bucket list?

  1. #5...I sent an author an email once, wondering why a favorited book of mine by her wasn't still in print. I'd lost my copy and was trying to find a new one...The only copy I could find was $60! Apparently I was its only fan so it only ever had one run...She was excited to hear from me, and offered to sent me a copy!

#6...I enter giveaways all the time, and never win. I signed up to get an ARC once, and I didn't get a copy (even though they said my request was sent) and everyone who signed up after me, got a copy...I was peeved. Why them and not me?

#10...Sounds like a dangerous game, lol, let me know how that works out!

    1. #5 Omg I am just always to afraid to do that.
      #6 I haven't one any yet either :(
#10 It worked out great the year before I manage to turn my cousin into a bookworm and now I am trying to convert my sis into one she half way there and both of them had never read a book aside of their school coursed ones before.

  2. OOh nice! Liking your list! It's extremely tough to win or receive ARCs. I've been blogging for 5 years and still rarely get them. Have you joined Netgalley and Edelweiss? They are online places that are free, where you can request the ARCs that they have and review them. Since you're a blogger it will more in your favor to get one. Hopefully. I still get rejected 9/10 on Edelweiss. But with them, you can keep sending in the requests. Netgalley has changed that so you can only request once.

As long as you have an ereader or an application on your computer like adobe reader or something like that to read them, you're golden! That's how I read like 99% of the ARCs I get. The other 1% is the rare occasion of winning or receiving a physical copy from the publishers.

    Here's my Tuesday post

    Have a GREAT day!

  4. Love 1 and 2! I'd love to see 1000 books on my Goodreads read shelf, never mind 3000. I've always wanted to build a huge library with more than one reading nook.

  6. I totally get #5, 8, and 9. A lot of the times I spew fangirl all over an author on Twitter or by emailing them, but it's so scary at first! Eventually it just gets easier to be all like, "Screw it I wanna talk to this author therefore I am talking to this author goodbye." At least, that's my reasoning lol :)

#8: I struggled with this everyday! I felt like my content was so boring and full of reviews, and I've been trying to break it up recently with discussion posts and fun, personal memes. Other than that, it really just takes a lot of experimenting to find what you like and work on it :)

#9: Bloggy friends are so fun and worthwhile; they can help you with so much! I usually make my bloggy friends by commenting a lot on their blog, following them on Twitter, and then just letting the conversation go from there. I've always felt that conversation is so much easier online at times because tehre aren't any awkward pauses or anything like that. Great list!

  10. I love your list. 3000 books is a big goal, but definitely reachable... good luck! And be patient and keep requesting; you'll get an ARC or a giveaway someday. Have you signed up with NetGalley? You need to have an e-reader, but I find it's a bit easier to get approved for e-ARCS there than get the physical kind elsewhere.

  12. The introduction of Misuzu is almost a rolex submariner replica repeat of sorts of his first meeting with Kitaoji in that it ends in misunderstanding and violence. That she's Sotomura's younger sister doesn't change things much chanel outlet but it certainly points to why she has a peculiar personality in general. The arrival of Misuzu adds a fair bit of tension and excitement to the film club at a time when it's growing. The new term has them getting more funding, but it's starting off chanel outlet badly as you have Misuzu criticizing their previous efforts in a fairly brutal way, which cuts pretty close for most of them. He plainly admits he likes her, though she can definitely lv outlet be difficult, and she likes him a whole lot, but the two aren't actually dating. And in a way, he's not sure why, though if you go back to some of the things she's done it's easy to see some of the reasons why. But when Manaka's 17th birthday rolls around, she's fully intent on making it a memorable one for him. But he's already trying to make the break from her and has a hard time accepting it from her swiss replica watches, though she's so earnest and honest about it. His reaction to it is very demoralizing and almost crushing to her, since it's a sign that she's losing in the competition to gain him as her real boyfriend. The back and forth between these two feels fairly honest, but it's reaching a point where it has to end one way or another before it drags on too much.
