Top Ten Tuesday #1: Top ten reasons I love being a reader/book blogger..

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted over at The Broke and the Bookish.
This my first TTT so I am super excited to do this :)
This week's question:

"Top ten reasons I love being a reader/book blogger"

1. I love being a reader because...There's an Adventure on every page.

As a fiction lover when I read I get to visit new worlds, new realities places where one can never go, to whole different dimensions and time frames. Into multiple minds and head spaces. Reading expands the mind and opens it, reading fiction especially nurtures our imagination. And that's why I love reading
because it takes me to epic places each and every time.

2. I love being a blogger because...I can meet amazing people.

I am a fairly new blogger it's only been about more than a month since I started, and during this short period of time I have interacted with so many awesome people, people who I can relate to, with whom I can talk about my excessive book feels and it's amazing!

3. I love being a reader because...I escape from reality.

I can escape from reality, from the constant stress and pressure of real life. When I read book I go blind, deaf and dumb to the people around me and totally dive into the world of fiction. I crawl into the words and live there forgetting my thoughts and worries. No matter how angry, annoyed or stressed I am books always cheer me up. To me they are like life support or a lazy buoy or even a bunker. I completely and utterly lose myself in books and I love it!

4. I love being a reader because...of the FEELS!

I love feeling the emotions and growing fond of the characters. I love the book feels love them love them love them ! I love laughing with the character feeling there happiness there sorrows their emotions all the while forgetting my own. I love living their lives along with them.

5. I love being a reader because...of these books:

6. I love being a blogger because...I can share my feels.

I can express my feels, my love and my passion for books. I can share my thoughts with amazing people. Get recommendations and connect with readers all around the world.

7. I love being a reader because...of the people IN the books <3

I love reading books because of all the amazing people I get to meet in the books. The heroes, the villains, the damsels, the warriors, the angels, the humans, the magicals and let's not forget the book boy friends *sigh*

8. I love being a reader because...it increases my knowledge and nurtures my imagination.

Many people would disagree with me saying that reading fiction doen't contribute to knowledge well guess what Einstien disagrees with you :p
“If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.”
― Albert Einstein

9. I love being a reader because...books change us.

No matter what kind of a book we read it leaves an everlasting impression on us. Movies and music tend to leave these sort of impressions to but they are too dim and rare compared to the book. Books change us shape us the create us. They play a great part in shaping a reader's way of thinking and opens a persons mind to new things. They effect us on a spritual and physcological level and that's why thery are soo epic :)

10. I love being a reader because... they are so much FUN!

...................................................................
So what do you think of my list? and what are your top ten reasons?

Book Review: Battle for the Afterlife Saga (Blue Courage Act #1)

Book Title: Battle for the Afterlife Saga (Blue Courage Act #1)
Author: C.J. Davis.
Recommended for: Sci-fi fans, action junkies.
Theme: aferlife, reincarnation.
Type: Trilogy
Genre: Sci-Fi Fantasy, Urban Fantasy.
My Rating:

When Reese, a man in his thirties, dies and arrives in an Afterlife radically different from any version ever imagined, he's confronted by a looming war between good and evil where fearsome elite warriors—with supernatural abilities—are desperately trying to enslave all the souls in the Universe.

Ramblings (Review):
This book is orignal and very intresting read. The story and the idea of the world are both exceptionally intriguing. There are a few flaws in world buliding like unsufficient details and discription so this book somewhat seems abstract. The book is fast paced and very gripping but while reading it I felt as if tough much of the story was missing. I am an action junkie so ultimately this book was very fun to read and I was hooked from the first page despite it's faults.

Book Review: Let The Sky Fall (Sky Fall #1)

Book Title: Let the Sky Fall (Sky Fall #1)
Author: Shannon Messenger.
Recommended for: Everyone, people looking for originality.
Theme: air elemental, sylph, storms.
Type: Trilogy
Genre: Young Adult,  Fantasy, Mythology.
My Rating:

“Infinite possibilities. And none of them matter.
What matters is here and now.”
― Shannon MessengerLet the Sky Fall

Ramblings (Review):

Really do you need any other words after a gif of two adorable minions? can anything else describe awesomeness better than that still here are a few words; This book was so good I am at a loss of words, perfect in every way but the best thing about this book was that it was completely original ! No vampires, werewolves, wizards, superheroes, fallen angels or demigods not that I don't like any of these but I had gotten tired reading books based on them and originality when combined with a good plot always wins so of course this book turned out to be amazing. The concept of sylphs or air elemental isn't completely new but still it's sufficiently original and frankly I haven't read a book like this yet. Let The Sky Fall is first person narrative with respect to Audra and Vane. Both of them are quite amazing and complex characters with intriguing back stories. Audra is a strong feisty girl but not invincible ,basically no one is all powerful in this book all characters have there limitations and that is what makes this book so great. There also a depth to the characters that is rarely found in YA novels.

“We were two broken, incomplete people. Now we're one. No one will ever understand me the way she will. No one will ever understand her the way I will.”

― Shannon MessengerLet the Sky Fall

This book was MIND BLOWING!

There is sufficient amount of humour, romance,  and suspense mixed within the plot. The story is great and a perfect page tuner with a reliable plot. There are a few things tough that had to be more descriptive and detailed specially the ending, there was nothing wrong with it but it was a little confusing. Overall it was an amazing book and I would recommend every YA/Fantasy lover to read it.
P.S. I can't wait for the next one !!!

Top Ten Books read in 2013

Ok I know it's more than a bit too late to do this post but I really really want to do this because what better way is there to talk about my most loved books. The reason I couldn't do this earlier was because my blog officially started on 15th Jan 2014 and at that time I was to busy with my blog settings and theme and stuff to think about this. So without much further to blab here is the list of my 10 favourite books read in 2013:

#1: Champion (Legend#3) by Marie Lu.

This was the best one in the legend series full of action, adventure, suspense, heart break and love. It was perfect and so very beautiful of all the trilogies that I have read this one is the best and Marie Lu's Champion is the perfect trilogy closer. None of the trilogies that I have read have such a perfect and complete ending as Legend.
“I’ve been searching a long time for something I think I lost.
I felt like I found something when I saw you back there.”
― Marie LuChampion
My Rating:

#2: Rupert of Hentzau (The Ruritanian Trilogy #3) by Anthony Hope.

Yes a classic is on this list and one that isn't much read, this novel had everything from love, sacrifice, chivalry, hate ,betrayal. It has a tear jerking but beautiful ending. I loved this book with all my heart and soul, cheesy yes I know. But what I don't know is that why isn't this book as popular as the other notable classics.

My Rating:

#3: Steel Heart (Reckoners#1) by Brandon Sanderson.

Steel Heart is an amazing post apocalyptic novel where due to unknown reasons various people gain super powers, this is not something new but the way the book was written was totally gripping and original. A must read for every one full of adventure, suspense, thrill and action one of my absolute favs can't wait for the next one.
“Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.”
― Brandon SandersonSteelheart

My Rating:

#4: Casino Infernale (Secret Histories #7) by Simon R. Green.

Simon R. Green's book's aren't for everyone but if you are a fan of Urban Fantasy and Sci-Fi you are going to love this action packed fast paced book.
I loved this one because it was very different to the other books in the stories due to excessive plot development.
My name is Drood, Eddie Drood, aka Shaman Bond. For generations my family has protected you ordinary mortals against things that lurk in the darkness, just out of sight, but not at all out of mind.- Simon R. GreenSecret Histories
My Rating:

#5: Losing Lila (Lila #2) by Sarah Alderson.

This book is so swoon worthy as the first one Hunting Lila was amazing but this, this was mind blowing. The only bad thing about this series is that the author herself isn't sure wheather Losing Lila is the last book of the series or not. I am hoping it isn't.
“Look on the bright side: if you cause an inferno, you can always put it out with a tidal wave.”
― Sarah AldersonLosing Lila

My Rating:

#6: The Bitter Kingdom (Fire and Thorns #3) by Rae Carson.

Even tough the ending of this book felt a little incomplete it is one of my most favourite books. Completly orignal with superb world building this book is a must read.
“I think sometimes when we find love we pretend it away, or ignore it, or tell ourselves we’re imagining it. Because it is the most painful kind of hope there is.”
My Rating:

#7: Graceling (Graceling Realm #1) by Kristin Cashore.

This book has every thing! Amazing writing, intriguing plot, swoon worthy hero, orignal story and a kick ass heroine, nuff said.
“I'm not going to wear a red dress," she said.
"It would look stunning, My Lady," she called.
She spoke to the bubbles gathered on the surface of the water. "If there's anyone I wish to stun at dinner, I'll hit him in the face.”
― Kristin CashoreGraceling

My Rating:

#8: Earth Star (Earth Girl #2) by Janet Edwards.

Not everyone would like this book but if you are like me a nerdy sci-fi loving bookworm go and get your copy right now and prepare for a hell of a ride. Amazing character development and world building.
My Rating:

#9: The Naturals (The Naturals #1) by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

Full of suspense and intrigue loved this book <3
My Rating:

#10: The Falconer (The Falconer #1) by Elizabeth May.

Kick ass heroine + the most crippling cliff hanger ever = insta love
“In what way could keeping me in ignorance be construed as protection?’ I straighten a piece of wire to add to the fire-starter. ‘God spare me from such protection, especially when it involves safeguarding my poor feminine sensibilities from life-saving information.”

Dream Cast: The Selection (Selection Trilogy)

Book Title: The Selection
Author: Keira Cass
Recommended for: Chick lit fans, fangirls, Disney fans.
Type: Trilogy
Genre: Young Adult, Dystopian, Fantasy, Chick lit, Romance.
“True love is usually the most inconvenient kind.”

For book review click here.

My Dream Cast:

Max Thieriot as:               Emma Roberts as:               Gregg Sulkin as:

Aspen Leger                                        America Singer                               Prince Maxon

Why Emma Roberts? Because I think she can play America very well she is a great actor and she has played the rebelish feisty girl many times in several movies also she rocks the red locks.

Why Gregg Sulkin? If anyone has the looks of a prince charming it's him. Naturally he looks regal and prince like with those polished features, he can also play the part of the charming, handsome, caring and softhearted prince very well without a doubt.

Why Max Thieriot? As far as I am concerned he looks pretty much like the Aspen I imagined while reading. Innocent eyes and a ruggish face, he could play the heart broken lover well.

Ramblings (Review);

I knew from the minute I looked at this book that it was going to be amazing but, only if I shut down the critic in me, so that's what I did I locked it up and let my inner 10 year old girl out and thus while I was reading the book I was clapping, jumping up and down and squealing with delight.
There is no rocket science in it nothing that could go wrong it is just a pretty Disney like tale and thus it should be read considering that not criticised at every single line like it has been by many many people. This is a beautiful tale filled with fun, heart break and romance if you are looking for something light to read or just a book to cheer you up this is it.
“If you don’t want me to be in love with you, you’re going to have to stop looking so lovely. First thing tomorrow I’m having your maids sew some potato sacks together for you.”

Book Review: Allegiant (Divergent #3)

Book Title: Allegiant (Divergent #3)
Author: Veronica Roth
Recommended for: Dystopian lovers, Hunger Games Fans, Action Junkies.
Theme: Factions, War, Genetics.
Type: Trilogy
Genre: Young Adult, Dystopian, Post apocalyptic
My Rating:

“Knowledge is power. Power to do evil...or power to do good. Power itself is not evil. So knowledge itself is not evil.”
― Veronica RothAllegiant

Ramblings (Review):
I just don't know how I feel right now!
This book! This book made me want to do so many things. It frustrated me, it annoyed me, it agitated me. This book made me cry, it made me whine, it made me smile, and it made me yearn for more.
“I suppose a fire that burns that bright is not meant to last.”
Beware this book isn't for the light hearted, happy endings lovers because it toys with your emotions, rips your heart out and feeds it to the wolves. But for those who can handle the heart breaks and the emotional trauma Allegiant is the perfect book. Allegiant is a roller coaster ride that you will never forget.
