Waiting on Wednesday #1: Let The Storm Break (Let The Skyfall #2)

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill over at Breaking the Spine. In this we write about books we are desperately waiting to get our hands on.
This is my first WoW so I am super excited to do this! My pick is:
Book Title: Let the Storm Break (Sky Fall #2)
Author: Shannon Messenger.
Recommended for: Everyone, people looking for originality.
Theme: air elemental, sylph, storms.
Type: Trilogy
Genre: Young Adult,  Fantasy, Mythology.
Expected Publication: 4 March, 2014.
Vane Weston is haunted. By the searing pull of his bond to Audra. By the lies he’s told to cover for her disappearance. By the treacherous winds that slip into his mind, trying to trap him in his worst nightmares. And as his enemies grow stronger, Vane doesn’t know how much longer he can last on his own.
But Audra’s still running. From her past. From the Gales. Even from Vane, who she doesn’t believe she deserves. And the farther she flees, the more danger she finds. She possesses the secret power her enemy craves, and protecting it might be more than she can handle—especially when she discovers Raiden’s newest weapon.
With the Gale Force weakened by recent attacks, and the power of four collapsing, Vane and Audra are forced to make a choice: keep trusting the failing winds, or turn to the people who’ve betrayed them before. But even if they survive the storms sent to destroy them, will they have anything left to hold on to?
absolutely loved Let The Sky Fall (Sky Fall #1) it was so amazing and original loved the characters and the story it was totally original and at the end it made me yearn for more. I can't wait to read this one.

Ramblings (Review):

Really do you need any other words after a gif of two adorable minions? can anything else describe awesomeness better than that still here are a few words; This book was so good I am at a loss of words, perfect in every way but the best thing about this book was that it was completely original ! No vampires, werewolves, wizards, superheroes, fallen angels or demigods not that I don't like any of these but I had gotten tired reading books based on them and originality when combined with a good plot always wins so of course this book turned out to be amazing. The concept of sylphs or air elemental isn't completely new but still it's sufficiently original and frankly I haven't read a book like this yet. Let The Sky Fall is first person narrative with respect to Audra and Vane. Both of them are quite amazing and complex characters with intriguing back stories. Audra is a strong feisty girl but not invincible ,basically no one is all powerful in this book all characters have there limitations and that is what makes this book so great. There also a depth to the characters that is rarely found in YA novels.

“We were two broken, incomplete people. Now we're one. No one will ever understand me the way she will. No one will ever understand her the way I will.”

This book was MIND BLOWING!

There is sufficient amount of humour, romance,  and suspense mixed within the plot. The story is great and a perfect page tuner with a reliable plot. There are a few things tough that had to be more descriptive and detailed specially the ending, there was nothing wrong with it but it was a little confusing. Overall it was an amazing book and I would recommend every YA/Fantasy lover to read it.
P.S. I can't wait for the next one !!!
